A training seminar entitled "Port Facility Security Assessment / Port Facility Security Plans", promoted by the United States Coast Guard, is taking place at ENAPOR - Port of Praia, from 11 to 13 July.

The seminar, aimed at institutions with port security responsibilities and those in charge of implementing and supervising the ISPS Code (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code), covers the mandatory components of the ISPS Code for port facilities and is thus adapted to meet the country's needs, with a focus on making specific improvements to port security.

The topics to be covered in this seminar include access control, port facility security assessments (PFSAs), port facility security plans (PFSPs), restricted areas, cargo handling, facility monitoring, security levels, security declarations, auditing and reviewing PFSPs, security training and carrying out exercises.
