New stage in the Mindelo Cruise Terminal project
20/09/2023
Work began last week on the new "Jetty" pier with the driving and concreting of the support piles for the pier platform.
The Jetty, which is 400 metres long and 20 metres wide, will be built using 154 pillars and metal piles. Once the piles have been positioned, the quay platform will begin to be built using a sliding formwork system.
When the concrete structure is completed, the new quay will be equipped with fenders and bollards, allowing two cruise ships to dock simultaneously.
