After the pile driving phase, the construction of the visitor reception building, the "Welcome Building" for the Mindelo Cruise Terminal, got underway last Friday with the start of earthmoving activities and foundations in a reinforced concrete structure.

The building, measuring approximately 900m2, will have areas dedicated to the embarkation and disembarkation of passengers, in an open space regime that will allow the Terminal's operations to be adapted according to the type of ship call. It will also have areas dedicated to the Cruise Terminal's administrative services, a luggage scanner area, a meeting room, reception/information, adapted toilets and an accessible terrace.
