10/07/2023
The 2nd edition of the Regional Youth Forum is taking place in Mindelo on 10 and 11 July, under the theme "Blue Economy and Creative Industry: Sustainability and Innovation".
Represented by the Advisor to the Board of Directors, Mr Alcídio Lopes, ENAPOR took part in the panel "The Blue Economy and the SDGs", which focused on the importance of the blue economy for sustainable development, addressing practical examples of its application in the development of ports, maritime transport and logistics.
ENAPOR is delighted to contribute to such a pertinent and topical issue and to share the good practices of Cape Verde's ports in this context.
During his speech, Alcídio Lopes emphasised ENAPOR's position as one of the promoters of the "Blue Economy" in Cape Verde and, due to the company's relevance and importance in the country's development, it has invested heavily in technological innovation in the port sector.
The aim of this 2nd edition of the Regional Youth Forum is to strengthen dialogue through reflection and debate between the government and young people (teenagers and young adults) and different development players, in order to help increase the civic and political participation of young people within the scope of Agendas 2030 and 2063 and help the country achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
